Stav Goldberg is a pianist and composer who believes music can express anything — and that a musician's deepest work is to become present and free enough to follow where it wants to go.

Drawn to music from age three and performing internationally since seventeen, Goldberg left home to study at the New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York, where he graduated with honors and studied under Aaron Parks, Buster Williams, and Shai Maestro. He has since performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Panama Jazz Festival, and stages across the world, collaborating with leading artists including Itamar Borochov, Daniel Zamir, Stacy Dillard, and Orka.

His second album, Symphony of Water, captures something essential about his musical world — a unique instrumentation of cello, harp, trumpet, and piano trio, inspired by the shapes and sounds of nature and the idea of beauty within chaos. His compositions and improvisations breathe with color and flow, moving through a broad emotional landscape with a melodic integrity and sensitivity that listeners often compare to the movement of water.

Currently based in Berlin, Goldberg performs and leads his trio while working on his third album — a trio record exploring melodic simplicity within intricate rhythms.
