"Stav Goldberg is a musician full of soul"
- Dubi Lenz, 88FM Jazz Radio
Stav Goldberg is a Berlin-based pianist and composer.
Known for his emotive improvisations, Stav’s captivating skill is his ability to create new musical narratives live on stage. His compositions bridge sophistication and simplicity, a developed harmonic sence, and a strong melodic integrity.
Stavs musical search is portraid in his second album “Symphony of Water”, in which he explores musical impressions of water in its different forms, while also displaying a unique instrumental arrangement for a jazz album, including cello, harp, trumpet, guitar, and a piano trio. The album expands and breaks the familiar musical boundaries, yet does so gently, inspired by the sounds and shapes of nature, and the idea of beauty within chaos.
Stav Goldbergs passion has always been about improvisation, so he dedicated his earlier years to studying composition, jazz and classical music. Stav graduated with honors from the New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music New York in 2020, where he studied with notable musicians such as Aaron Parks, Buster Williams, and Shai Maestro.
Stav has been touring internationally since age 17. Cooporating with artists such as Itamar Borochov, Daniel Zamir, Stacy Dillard, and Orka Teppler.
At present, Stav is based in Berlin, focusing on solo and trio performances, and preparing his next record.
